I know its about time right! ha ha Well where do we begin , last blog we were just settling in. To be honest we still feel like we are on a vacation.

 

 

 

In our last post we had a few projects going on and some are still on going. Our Haul it is Sept 28th and the boat will be out of the water for a week. We are having the bottom painted , and repacking and fiber glassing the cutless bearing strut.

 

We also started a window project that became a 2 week ordeal. We hired some local guys to do the job and replace our old port light windows with new ones. Well that started and it was looking great.

 

 

Then the new windows went in.

And they looked great!!

But not long after they went on they cracked. So they redone both sides not once but three times and every time the windows would crack.

 

Turns out they were using the wrong adhesive, but by this time we were done and said we are out. So they did the right thing and put our old windows back in and didn't charge a dime , which if they did I would not have payed just saying. So the old windows are back in not leaking now so we will revisit this project soon.

 

We also have other projects going on but we will get to them later.

 

Now just some life on the water. As we said before I was able and am very thankful for being able to retire at my age from a great company. I do and will miss my co-workers and my customers from Brevard rd.

 

But I do not miss calling in for 9.5 or Hey Lyndon what the heck are you thinking this is a 13 hour day you dispatched me with lol. Or Nov and Dec and Helper boards and helper time cards and boards and hey my helper didn't show up ect...... ect..... lol UPS wow. We had our own language that I sometimes sit back and laugh about. Airs, over 9.5 , call tags which back in the day one shots lol, and one of my favorites Working Terminated. Got to love it and then again maybe not ha ha.

 

Well I traded all of that for.............A much nicer reason for coffee in the mornings
